» Issues

An established brick and stone manufacturer came to FutureLook seeking to broaden their appeal to contractors and architects as well as consumers. The client requested a web site that would serve as a resource for homeowners, architects and engineers and bring results as an effective sales and reference tool. A planned second phase included a dynamic (interactive) site to facilitate e-commerce transactions and technical and installation specifications. The client had a substantial amount of information that was in need of organization to deliver a functional site. The design required a format that included an expandability element for future data integration. A necessity existed to appeal to two separate and distinct user groups, homeowners and professionals.

» Solutions

  • Design and develop a site to convey Bend's leading position in the stone and brick market.
  • Convert information challenges into pragmatic solutions through an organized, flexible and expandable site.
  • Design interactive pages for both user groups to download product information and specifications.
  • Recommend a web site hit tracking system to provide statistics beneficial in ongoing analysis of site use, navigation and migration.

» Results

The new site increased visibility of the client's expansive product line and provided them with a solid foundation for their web vision. The process of developing the site encouraged Bend Industries to add additional functions, served as a catalyst for re-energized interdepartmental communication and improved its overall sales approach.
